In 1987, a restaurant and cafe was opened in the same place.

We have started The Country Kitchen Daikokuya.

In 2008, he left the shop to his family and traveled alone to Yakushima to run a coffee shop.

There, I met many travelers and people with different values than I had before, and learned to cherish my interactions with others in life.

We started this guesthouse in April 2011 with the hope of connecting people not only with our local neighbours, but with people from all over Japan and even the world.
